How to request a VAT refund
For payments made through one of our payments processors, you have the option to enter a VAT ID at the time of purchase, which will exempt the purchase from sales tax.
If you are registered for VAT and missed the field to enter your VAT code, you can change this after purchase. The process is different, depending on what payment processor you used.
If you made your payment using FastSpring, please fill this form out to request a VAT refund and add your VAT ID to the invoice: https://fastspring.com/consumer-support-form/tax-vat-gst/
After completing the form, it will take a few days for FastSpring to refund the VAT.
If you made your payment using Paddle, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your VAT code and address to update the invoice. Once Paddle has validated the VAT number, the refund will be processed immediately. It usually takes 3-5 business days (depending on your bank) for it to appear in your account.
If you would like to update your billing information yourself (including the VAT code), please access the invoice download link in your Paddle account and add your information into billing form. After completing the form, it will take a few days for Paddle to refund the VAT.
